Rukia Kuchiki is the current captain of the 13th Division in the Bleach manga and anime series. Before becoming a leader, she served as lieutenant of the 13th Division under Jūshirō Ukitake. Rukia was born into a lower class but still retains her modesty, even after being adopted by the members of the nobility. She is kind, well-behaved, and polite, but her internal loneliness often forces her to hide personal problems from family and friends. Rukia's Bankai changes her physical look and her clothing, replacing her black uniform with a white kimono with lined patterns.
